Miss Mehrnoosh Aref-Adib is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician at Whipps Cross Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust in London. She completed her medical training at the University of Cambridge and University College London (UCL), followed by specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology across North Central London.
In 2017, Miss Aref-Adib undertook a year-long fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery in Melbourne, Australia, obtaining certification in both hysteroscopy and laparoscopy. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Ultrasound from King’s College London (2016) and is accredited in colposcopy by the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).
Currently, she serves as the Audit Lead for Women’s Health at her NHS Trust.
Miss Aref-Adib has extensive experience in both obstetrics and gynaecology and is a trained Robotic Surgeon.
She is skilled in:
● Early pregnancy
● Gynaecological ultrasound
● Colposcopy
● Robotic and laparoscopic surgery
● A range of operative procedures
Her clinical interests include the management of fibroids, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), ovarian cysts and heavy menstrual bleeding.
A dedicated educator, Miss Aref-Adib has developed and led multiple courses in the UK and Australia, covering topics such as ultrasound, laparoscopy and intrauterine device insertion for trainees and general practitioners. She has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters and regularly presents her research at national and international conferences. She is an active member of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) SCOPE team, where she contributes articles and moderates webinars.
Miss Aref-Adib is also a mother of three. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys dancing, spinning and socialising with friends and family.
