Miss Julie Bowring completed her general gynaecological training in North West London, and further specialist training in sexual and reproductive health at The Royal Free Hospital.
She is a consultant in sexual and reproductive health at Homerton Hospital with a particular clinical interest in human papillomavirus (HPV) infection of the lower genital tract. She is a British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP)-accredited colposcopist and has been the Gynaecology Lead for the Homerton Anogenital Neoplasia Service since 2018. In this role, she manages a wide range of HPV-related conditions affecting the vagina, vulva and anal canal.
Her clinical expertise includes:
● Management of HPV-related conditions of the lower genital tract
● Colposcopy
● Vulvoscopy
● High Resolution Anoscopy (HRA)
● Well woman check-ups
● Contraceptive care, including intrauterine devices and subdermal implants
● Sexual health
● HRT
Outside work, Julie enjoys Pilates and spending time with her young family.
