Ms Michelle Swer is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, joining the team from St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she currently is Outpatient Hysteroscopy Lead. Ms Swer has held leadership positions in the Trust as Care Group Lead for Gynaecology and currently the Gynaecology Lead for Southwest London Network where she works closely with primary care in improving access to women’s health. She is also an executive committee member of the British Society of Gynaecological Imaging (BSGI).
Ms Swer graduated from Trinity College Dublin and completed her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at several leading London hospitals. She has developed particular expertise in early pregnancy and gynaecological scanning, following two years as a clinical research fellow at University College London (UCL), during which she published academic papers and contributed to book chapters in both early pregnancy and obstetrics.
Her main interests lie in ambulatory gynaecology where she is able to use her skills in scanning and hysteroscopy for diagnosis and treatment. She also takes a special interest in post reproductive health and management of the menopause through a holistic approach.

Ms Swer is known for her warm, empathetic approach and feels privileged to support women through every stage of their reproductive journey. She is able to converse in Italian, having spent her childhood in Italy.
Outside of medicine, Ms Swer takes advantage of the joys of being in London as she regularly frequents the theatre (particularly musical theatre) or visiting art galleries. During her time off she is often travelling with her family discovering new destinations.
