Miss Diana Marcus is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in London. She has a specialist interest in gynaecological oncology, colposcopy, and the diagnosis and management of abnormal bleeding, cervical and vulval conditions, and early gynaecological cancers.

In her NHS role at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, she leads the Gynaecological Oncology and Two-Week Wait (2WW) services, overseeing the rapid assessment and treatment of women with suspected cancer. She is also an experienced colposcopist and trainer, providing specialist care for women with abnormal cervical screening results.

Miss Marcus graduated from University College London (UCL) with honours and completed specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology across London and the East of England. She holds advanced accreditation in Gynaecological Oncology, Labour Ward Management, and Colposcopy, and is a member of the Royal Colleges of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Physicians, and Surgeons.

Alongside her clinical work, Miss Marcus completed a PhD at Imperial College London, where her research focused on innovative diagnostic techniques for womb cancer using the intelligent surgical knife (iKnife). Her research has received international recognition, including awards from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and major scientific conferences. She continues to publish and present widely in her field.

Her clinical expertise covers:

  • Cervical screening and colposcopy
  • Management of abnormal bleeding such as heavy menstrual bleeding, post-menopausal bleeding
  • Vulval disease
  • Ovarian cysts
  • Endometrial and ovarian cancer
  • Gynaecological ultrasound and minimally invasive surgery
  • Ambulatory gynaecology

A passionate educator, Miss Marcus is a member of the RCOG eLearning Editorial Board, an Educational Supervisor and appraiser. She has developed and delivered numerous teaching programmes for trainees and medical students across the UK.

Beyond medicine, she is committed to global women’s health, having worked with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)and participated in international fundraising initiatives for women’s health charities.
