Mittal Patel MBBS, MRCOG

Miss Mittal Patel is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with special interest in Urogynaecology. She is lead for pelvic floor services at Kingston Hospital.

She qualified from Newscastle University in 2009, completing her training in Yorkshire and London and has experience of working in many tertiary hospitals. . In addition,  she has completed a fellowship at Imperial College, where she undertook research on bladder pain and innovative treatments for overactive bladder. She has several publications in the field and has presented nationally and internationally.

She has experience of medical and surgical management of urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapse, bladder pain, recurrent urinary tract infections and birth trauma. She is passionate about prevention and treatment of birth trauma.

She is passionate about prevention and treatment of birth trauma and providing patient centred holistic care. Consultations by Ms Patel are offered in English, Hindi and Gujarati.

Finally, she has a keen interest in education and regularly teaches at the local medical schools. She has published educational articles and videos for The International Continence Society and The International Urogynaecological Association.
