Edel Muchemeyi

Edel is the lead sonographer at London Gynaecology, working across both the Harley Street and Austin Friars clinics. She brings extensive experience in ultrasound imaging and has a particular passion for early pregnancy and emergency gynaecology scanning.

Originally from Ireland, Edel moved to the UK in 2011 to study diagnostic radiography and imaging at the University of Hertfordshire, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree. She later completed a postgraduate diploma in medical ultrasound at City University London in 2017, further developing her specialist skills.

Before joining London Gynaecology, Edel worked as deputy ultrasound manager at Southend University Hospital NHS Trust. Her varied career has included roles in accident and emergency (A&E) and computed tomography (CT) scanning, as well as delivering community ultrasound services in general practice surgeries across Essex. This broad experience enables her to provide expert, patient-focused care in a variety of clinical settings.

Edel is known for her warm and empathetic manner. She is dedicated to ensuring every patient feels supported and at ease throughout their appointment, combining clinical accuracy with a compassionate approach.

Outside work, Edel enjoys travelling, dining out, shopping and walking her dog, Rufus.
